81-O Web Site Update

Post by HawkeEye » Sat Oct 15, 2022 5:50 pm

After months of working a different site, I believe I have figured out how to convert the 1881-O web site to WordPress

This came after a conversation with JB earlier this week, but I believe it is possible

The current site has about 12,000 images in it and bringing all of them forward isn't practical, but most of the site can make the transition

Now to work with my domain hosting service to build a transition site and I will start

If anyone here enjoys writing just for enjoyment you might take a look at what the other site is. Think of it as social media for adults and we would love to have more writers

Hawkeye,

Thank you for the 1881 o website. I did not know that was you. I found it and thought it was chock full of great information so I wanted to say thank you for providing that. Its in my arsenal for vam hunting.

I am a web developer, and pretty good at trouble shooting and work around solutions across applications. If I can offer any advice, it would be my pleasure.

Looks like an interesting site. We need more thoughtful discourse and dialogue - and much less banter, attacking and incivility - in this world. Definitely will read the articles and consider submitting as I am an armchair philosopher on the side (hoping I land in the former camp and not the latter).

Oh, and LOVE the 81-O website. Never won any of the contests, however, so I'd like to complain to management...
