Are these production or post production on 1878 VAM 141A?
Just want to learn a little. Polish, stamping, or just damage? Appreciate the comments!

I see some things that were from the die and some post minting damage.
A good start might be to identify the VAM and compare yours to other examples.

This is from a 1878 Vam 141A but in the full pictures for the 141 and 141A the motto and rims looked OK so I wasn't sure if it was post production or production.

Any other thoughts on motto, rim, breast, thread like under motto, and right shoulder?

Ordinary VAM 141A with a little damage here and there.

How do I differentiate or learn to differentiate? I mean most damage I can just know but the thing like the breast and the shoulder look like cracks or breaks to me.
