OT - No VAMs ANACS Grades

Post by alefzero » Thu Sep 22, 2022 12:07 am

Got a small order I dropped off at the Chicago ANA and will pick up at Long Beach next week.

1877 S TR$ COXE-47.1 CLEANED AU53 Details $TATES, radial break through the first S/STATES, 2nd one known
1878 S TR$ COXE-3 AU55
2022 D TOKEN DAN CARR ST GAUDENS DESIGN 1 OZ .999 SILVER MS70
2022 D TOKEN DAN CARR ST GAUDENS DESIGN 1 OZ .999 SILVER MS70
1874 S TOKEN DAN CARR SEATED DOLLAR O/S ON 1987-S CONSTITUTION $ 69 PL -- only 1 minted
2005 $ CREEK PROOF 70 DCAM -- Poarch Creek Dollar Chief Menawa
2007 $ CREEK PROOF 70 DCAM -- Poarch Creek Dollar Horseman

I accidentally got into building the sets for the Shawnee and Poarch Creek Nations' silver dollars. This completes the Poarch Creek set. I just got one of the last two needed for the Shawnee set; so one to go.

The St. Gaudens Silver tokens are the second striking Carr did. The first strikes were brilliant. These are satin. Now have a couple of each.

Here is that C-47.1 Trade dollar key detail.

I do similar a lot, especially with early dollars, on eBay. Looking at the coin images, I labor over attributing them. Then I see the slab image and it is on the label.
