New 1883-CC VAM? Like VAM-5C/D but no clashing

I am new to Morgan VAMs, so be patient with me

1883-CC Morgan Dollar
Weight = 26.68gm
Diameter = 38mm

I'm trying to figure out the VAM for this coin, but things aren't adding up. I'm probably missing something, but here is what seems significant on this coin relative to attribution (see detailed photos):
-- No dashes under any digits of the date (eliminates all but VAMs 2, 5C, and 5D)
-- Wing scratch present that is found on all VAM-5's (now only VAM-5C and 5D remain)
-- Very little evidence of die clashing on either side of the coin (that eliminates the remaining candidates!)

Thank you for any thoughts you might have on this. I'm happy to take additional photos and post them.

I believe I see a 5B. It comes with or without the dashed 8. Many of the crack patterns are similar. Check for that chip at the inside top end of the left wreath.

Thanks so much for that tip! I guess it pays to read ALL the words under a VAM and not just look at the photos. Now I see that VAM-5B does indeed say "with and without the dash under the second 8 in the date." I also agree many of the crack patterns are similar, if not identical. The notes also say that the obverse die polishing resulted in "...weakening metal in denticles below 18..." which is true of my coin. In fact, I wondered about the weak denticles all around on both sides and how the obverse looks like it was struck slightly off-center (edge at 10:00 looks wider than edge at 4:00). It may indeed be VAM-5B.

BUT.......
1) No chip inside the top end of the left wreath (or even a hint of one) - see photo
2) Instead of the prominent clash mark on the eagle's right wing below the n of In God (in VAM-5B photo), mine has a thin wedge-shape sitting on top of the wing - see photo
3) Lastly, there is very prominent doubling (machine?) in the lower left reverse, most evident on ONE - see photo.

Not sure if these things make a difference.

It is VAM 5B. There are minor stage variations within this section of the progression that would never warrant a separate listing. The key here is the clashing from VAM 5A is polished down and the VAM 5C clash hasn't occurred yet.
The other stuff you pointed out on the lower reverse is strike doubling.
