A little acetone can do wonders
On circ Morgans,
It will reveal more details/die markers

I agreed with Juan. Very hard to tell.
At first my thoughts was V44, but no sign of polishing line inside the L.
Could be V79 based on the mm and engraved leave (btw, not acid treated imo).

It has done a considerable stint in acetone already.

Pretty cool anomaly, looks like the "R" in LIBERTY has either a piece of wire struck into the coin or struck through.

I'll probably list it as new. Waiting to hear from other 79-S specialists. The bit pointed to in the R above is just a hit on the coin.

are the die(s) previously unknown or just a new die state/features?
on a separate subject, kinda. if a die is used from one year to the next and it is known, should the die identification listed be the same for both?
i thought i had something like this recently for 2 different years but one of the same dies but the die name was different on each page and i wasn't up for diggin' into it at the time.
this designation: Obverse III2 4 or Reverse B2a, as an example and i won't go into it after/if you respond here so as not to detract from this thread.

Comparing to what I have in my collection, I can't find a match.

Looks like VAM 148, then.
