89P- 23B, but what stage?
So now that I have learned more and perused the 4 variations on the website, I need advise. This coin doesn't seem to fall into any of the 4 Die stages.
1) It does have the orange peel look on the obverse, like stage 2, but none of the stars have roughness. Each star has all of their point with like an embedded micro moat around them. All of the letters are the same way, except for S•UNU.
2) There is evidence of the original neck clash about 1/16" long at a 45 Degree
3) The Orange peel in front of the neck almost appears as a brush stroke with grain.
4) The reverse has die roughness in the fields.
In closing, the date slants and I have very little doubt that it is not a 23B
PacificWR has got me hooked on this 23B series and suggested I post this in the discussion to provide for pics as well.
Attached are my images, Please be kind and helpful.

Can you take a close-up of the E & P on the Obverse? It is Die sequence #3 for sure. The photo's of the E & P will nail the die stage of die sequence #3 down.

The front of the neck is intact. This coin is not part of the VAM 23 progression.
Maybe take a look at VAM 30

Yup- It's a 30... Double hair, double ear, Polish Line for sure.
Still like getting the Uncirculated Weird Fields that many non-vammer's take for wear.
Thanks for consideratley Crushing that stage 3, but I will keep searching!
Thanks WRPacific for your help as well.
Be safe

VAM-30 for sure. The neck, closed 9 in the date and no die roughness around E & P sealed the deal. The die roughness kind of looks like VAM-23B, (die sequence 2-4) but it's not. Stay safe.

Appreciate this post because I continue to learn. Been hunting the same hunt unsuccessfully but holding out hope for that elusive 23A in all her glory.

If it happens...you will never forget it. I still remember when I found mine (local coin gallery). It was just like yesterday. Dreams do come true!
