1926S VAM 3K2a has die polishing only at TY of LIBERTY as shown for VAM 1K2 listing,
credit to Tom Petrosie, discovery coin in Blanchard MS 63 holder 2/2022

VAM 3K2b has die polishing at Y and in left lower quadrant of obverse. The discovery coin for the original VAM 3K2 is
VAM 3K2b.

In summary for 1926S VAM 3K series:
VAM 3K has die gouge neck w/o clash marks or die polishing
VAM 3K2a has die polishing on obverse at Y of LIBERTY, die crack w/o die polish in left lower quadrant (LLQ) obverse, with
evidence for die clash & polishing on reverse.
VAM 3K2b has die polishing obv both die polishing at Y and LLQ obverse.
VAM 3K3 has a new obverse die with more extensive die polishing on reverse.

I am attempting to follow posts with the intent of helping if I can. I have to admit I am completely lost.
