Picking on PCGS again

Post by DHalladay » Sat Apr 16, 2022 7:17 pm

Why?
Because sometimes they make it so damn easy.

The first 3 PCGS coins are 1921-D VAM 1A2 "TRU_Ts". The AU50 is unattributed; the two MS63s are attributed on the holders:

Then there's this coin, which is not only attributed by PCGS as a "TRU_T", but it's one of the examples that PCGS has on the Coinfacts page for the variety. Just amazing...

I think the time is right for ANACS to make a big push. They just need to change their holders and possibly upgrade there website.

While I exclusively use ANACS for my purposes, the suggestions about new holders and website will likely just result in higher fees.

I'm not concerned about ANACS's holder or website. But believe that ANACS will prevail in the long run for all the right reasons. Not perfect, just better.

Here's another one that is not a TRU-T in my opinion (graded AU53 by PCGS and attributed as VAM 1A "TRU-T" on the holder). In fact, if I owned that coin and it was raw, I wouldn't even think about sending it in to try for the VAM attribution. But what do I know?
