Help with 1878 8 TF

For the life of me, I can not positively identify this VAM. No doubling on obverse, gouge by eye, doubled reverse and not VAM2, 2A or 14.3. Any help appreciated.

Hmm... when most people mistake this VAM for another one, it's not VAM 2 or 14.3 they think it is.
