I've had this one for a few months and it is my first 8tf and trying to pin down a vam number and the lower grade doesn't help. It seems to have a match of vam 14.15 (I know, one of the rare ones
) as it has a die file line in about the same location as the photo on the 14.15 page. I might be seeing a possible remnant of a die gouge at the secondary pup. Now more than likely it is not this vam, but it must be one of the 23 known vams (not vam 9 though
) On the obverse, it seems to have a clash line at the nape of the neck and cheek but haven't found any matches yet.

Took me a moment to sort out this riddle, but I narrowed it to vam 14.2 EDS. I ruled out 14.2A and B since I didn't see the feeder finger gouges. It does not appear to have that die scratch at LI of Liberty though.
