Because I couldn't afford the Morgan die cap

Post by messydesk » Thu Mar 10, 2022 2:49 am

... I just picked up this bit of coolness. A couple orders of magnitude cheaper than the 86 Morgan. I needed a nice coin dated 1999 for one of my sets. The debut of the State Quarters was a Big Deal in 1999, but the Spaghetti Hair portrait of Washington is pretty bad. Swap out the portrait with a brockage, problem solved!

Return trip after taking care of business. They left their horses parked at the boat rental.

Boy that is a nice one. I have been getting into error coins lately. I need to look at more modern ones. Thanks.

I believe that History is for us to learn from, not approve to of.
With the topic of a coin featuring the Crossing of the Delaware, it might be appreciated by some if I share a related story of a participant -Jocko Graves.

Great post, great coin, great collectable...

Best part to me is the quote, @Kurt28 and link to the writing. How much of our current problems could be alleviated by really standing as true as we can letting the past be the past, not sugar-coating it, not belittleing it, not denying it, but learning from it.

Old fun. New fun. Old lerning. New learning. This post has it all!
