1881 S 54b Wounded and cleaned eagle
Been looking for one of these for a long, long time. I'm sure its grade stating it was cleaned made it off-limits to high end collectors and investors, and I got it for ~pocket-change.
Fields are pretty glassy and shows hairlines, so no argument on grading. As a fixed income hobbyist, sometimes one has to settle, so at least I have one that otherwise is pretty nice.

Awesome details or not.
I may not be the best, but I do not know anyone better.

WOW! One of my favorites too... in fact, if I were to ever publish a book or something I might consider it for the cover!
I've found three of them and the last was listed on eBay as an MS-65 1881-P. It was listed for 1881-S money and I thought "Why hasn't anyone snatched that 81-P for 81-S money???" So, I opened the listing and "Oh, it's just an 81-S... HOLY CRAP IT'S A 54B!!!!" YOINK! The other two were raw finds that both ended up as MS-63s.

I go totally NUTS for WOW! VAMs!! Or is that from WOW! VAMs?

Nice pick!! I've been looking for one of these for a long time. I have not had the luck nor the patients to keep looking at ALL the '81-S's on eBay. I'll just have to keep clicking. LOL

A super coin even in details grade. I look at so many stinking 81s every month. Haven’t seen one in ages.
