I don't think the toning will fly with either of them. Maybe the Peace dollar if you're lucky.

Looks like some sort of napkin window sill toning. Does not enhance the coins and probably hiding something.

Thanks everyone. The 1885 is a VAM 25, I only paid $26 for it several years ago, so no big deal. I'll keep both as they are.... Thanks again for your input.

AT on both IMO. Those purples and blues with not much other color spectrums are usually bad news.
I had to learn the hard way that just because a coin may get tagged as artificial doesn’t necessarily mean that it was in a literal sense. It’s more about market acceptable toning than the method in which it was toned.
