This and other mechanical coins are made one at a time by Russian artist Roman Booteen, then auctioned on eBay. Another dollar had been carved and modified into a working trap that had a Mexican gold peso as bait. It sold for over $10K on eBay, and he's licensed it for a limited reproduction. I heard that he's having export issues, however, and thus can't sell coin art at the moment.
