1888 O vam 1A2

Post by JASONKFLO » Sun Jan 30, 2022 4:27 pm

Picked this one raw off the bay unattributed hoping my other 1888 O Vam 1A I posted a few weeks back is 1A1
I liked the obverse toning though on the reverse there is some rim hits at 9-10 O'clock
Hopefully its not a shaved rim or enough to detail the coin. Also obverse has a Hit that looks like a F though I think it is just coincidence a the arms are minor marks and backbone is a little deeper looking at other pics
Still its always fun picking clashed E coins in the wild.

Nice pick. Those clash LIBERTY letter transfers are great to find in the wild. They are still out there.

Nice pick. Looks MS 64 to me.
I may not be the best, but I do not know anyone better.

coin is nice but that rim hit? I dont know ? That may detail the coin . Otherwise its nice.
Thoughts on the rim? I and 50/50 on if it will details the coin but not certain. If folks think it will straight grade I’ll keep it as I think 100 was a good deal for a coin that otherwise looks 63 or 64
