Interesting question about 1921 D2 vams

I just picked up a really gorgeous 1921 vam-39A in mint state (my second dotted 21!) When I glanced at the F in OF on the reverse, the bottom of the letter has the die marker jut-out typical of the vam-3's. Now looking at this vam 39, I see the same jut-out feature, so this begs the question, do all the vams in the D2 reverses have this feature?
