1902-O Coin poop

Post by indian4 » Wed Oct 24, 2018 2:21 pm

Looking for opinions, not that anybody here has any :) Does this look like die chips, test marks or generic coin poop? As usual, I appreciate your help.

it appears to be a foreign body, not part of the coin. I say damage.

I do not know of a reverse die with this feature. As others have said, not in the die.

You can see the metal curled up around the edge whatever that is. It is clearly not part of the planchet. Either PMD or struck through debris that became lodged.
