This looks like a strike-through error, most likely through a blob of grease.
It's a cool error coin! Can't see enough detail to know what die variety it is...

VERY cool! I would have snapped that one up in a heartbeat too!
I agree with Weth's strike-through opinion.
Your coin has a D1 reverse, so that eliminates about 70% of the possibilities.
Seriously though, the finger feed gouge through the F in OF makes VAM 1P a possibility.
