Take a look at this coin... obverse has what looks like pitting from a rusted die but wanted to get the opinion of others. Rusted Die or environmental damage?

Pretty much just looks like a combination of banged up high points and planchet issues that weren't struck out. You wouldn't see a pitted die in weakly struck areas, because the die didn't make a sufficient impression for any pits to show.
