$85 coin sold for $7,125
This happened last night at Great Collections.
It's a Reverse of '79.
PCGS Price Guide says $85.
My only thought here is Madness.
When in doubt... don't.

I may not be the best, but I do not know anyone better.

Truly gives creedance to the term Sticker Shock
Everything we buy nowadays is Sticker Shock period
Im seriously thinking of filling my freezer with venison -elk- salmon and
going back to garden raised home canned tomatoes garlic etc etc
Canned peaches / A bunch of work and time consuming but what the L- im retired
price reminds me of marketers of modern Morgans etc- All nuts
Hoping my silver stash goes crazy $1k per oz will suffice LOL LOL

Buy the holder; not the coin.

I regret that among my great failings in life is that I have waited so long to questioned authority, question experts, and fail to trust my own judgement and training.

I assume these hammer prices are driven by slab collectors and PCGS 'Everyman' competitors. I've paid premiums to get original GSA packaging but I didn't take it quite that far.
Imagine the hammer prices if PCGS started adding double plus grade suffixes and counting them at .75 instead of .5 points in the registry.

Gen 1 holder. The coin is irrelevant. The thing is, it's not the earliest dog matrix printer, even though it is a 108xxxx serial number.

I guess for the Registry for the Everymans collection of circulated Morgans the AU58 with the + might hit the Top Of The Pop
for that registry and add some major points . Same with the early PCGS holder that someone might be collecting the
early numbers . Just my thought that maybe that the reason , But Still Silly Dollars for these , but if its a coveted thing who knows . Still I personally wouldnt spend that for those reasons on these 2 coins . I rare VAM of course I would Pony up . LOL .
I guess collecting has different sides to it and some might seem very abstract to us . LOL , But thats my take on it .
Could be right could be wrong .
