1924 VAM 1BB
I am searching for images and any additional pick-ups for the 1924 VAM 1BB. It doesn't appear there are many known specimens. What are your thoughts on the attribution of this dollar?

It's flat out wrong and I doubt there's actually any trace of an E clash present. I own the VAM 1BB discovery piece and have since it was listed.
Here's a full shot of obverse and reverse.

The big thing is there's actually a partial E in the clash

Thank you. I suspected as much and didn't want to use an erroneous reference.

I agree with VAMpicker. I saw the coin on the HA auction & passed on bidding due to concern re: attribution.
Re: 1924 VAM 1BB
I have a raw 1924 that I believe is a VAM 1BB, I attributed it as such based upon the clash marks above the Eagle left shoulder at the second ray, at the right shoulder, along the ray above the A, and to the right of the leaves. I will try to get some photos up later. The image of the E is incuse and partial, and matches with an incuse image of the front of the neck to the right of the supposed E. I cannot see any E on the coin I have either, although all the clash marks appear slightly lighter due to a slightly weaker strike. I do not have any overlays that some of you have, but I can see what is being called the edge of the neck and the bottom half of an E on the photos.

The partial E clash is clearly visible in my image. It's split by the ray and is about halfway between the R and the eagle's back. No E clash and it's not VAM 1BB

Thanks for bringing up this [E clash] business on a Peace Dollar. I am also interested in this. I appreciate your efforts to get some photos of your coin.Cestor01 wrote: ↑Sat May 27, 2023 11:59 amI have a raw 1924 that I believe is a VAM 1BB, I attributed it as such based upon the clash marks above the Eagle left shoulder at the second ray, at the right shoulder, along the ray above the A, and to the right of the leaves. In the meantime...

Area of my Interest... Found better photo: This is a comparison photo in that same file. This is not my coin. I don't have it.
It must be photos I took of this grumpy old bachelor farmers silver dollar coins, a while back...
Would you knock on this guys door again; based on these photos?

It is embarrassing to admit that I can lose a coin ID in my tiny little Raw dollar collection. I don't know how you guys organize the Raw.
Mark-up another advantage to the TPG service and its protective ID'ed encasement.
