PCGS 2021 pops keep going up

I totally agree... in MS70, D is going to be the tough one.

With 2/3 of them grading 70, you need to put quotes around "tough."

I still do not see how there is so many 70s on any of them. All I am hearing is issues. They must of cherry picked the good ones .

People don't make a big fuss about normal looking coins, so those with problems are overrepresented in what you're hearing about.

True but all 13 I bought had some issues . I imagine I may have gotten a few 69 but not 70's for sure.

The majority of the 70s (being the majority thus far graded) were advance release. I do not know the deal with those, just that they are. They were big bulk orders, unavailable to us peons. Apparently they also were allowed to be submitted with grade and holder only at 70, something also unavailable to the rest of us.

I totally agree... in MS70, D is going to be the tough one.

With 2/3 of them grading 70, you need to put quotes around "tough."

"Chewy" might be a better word; or maybe "stringy," or "rancid."

PCGS posted the grades for my submission today as well. It's what I expected as one of the so called Peace Dollars had a flaw in the obverse field which looked almost like a lamination issue on a real Peace Dollar, except the flaw crater was really smooth instead of textured.

I took them out and gave them all a soak in acetone before submitting them. I don't know if that stops the milk spots from forming but it couldn't hurt.

I will throw this out there , someone posted some 70's they got back from PCGS on another site and A few of the coins clearly look over graded a point.

Got my grades for the 10 CC and 10 O Privy Morgans. CC has 8 70s and 2 69s. O has 7 70s and 3 69s. Will have to look at the TrueViews later to see if there are any interesting features.

I have seen some pics of 70 graded coins which have a small mark or two which in my opinion should be 69.
Curious how many are like that if anyone gets there 70's back it would be interesting to hear about.

An Unc-70 coin MUST be entirely free of non-die marks under 5x magnification. If not, then it is some lesser "grade" and also is misrepresented by the "grading" company.

Well, either the Mint suddenly increased their quality control or the TPG's suddenly had a grader shortage, or something in between.
