1902-O VAM?

Post by alefzero » Thu Oct 21, 2021 3:24 am

Going through my raw Morgan and Peace dollars, I got stuck on one 1902-O. I was sure I attributed before, but not so sure. It is close to several but cannot pin it down.

This looked like the mint mark on the VAM-12, but does not match that die otherwise.

We did do this before. You have a VAM-15.

Just a reminder. The VAM Plate on the VAM-15 page is actually a VAM-21 die marker. The scrathes/gouges shown on the second photo only show up in the MDS, not the EDS.

Thanks, Alan. I knew it had been reviewed before but was driving me crazy. Most of my VAM-15s have had that E_D crack just shy of the tiny 15A break.

If any of the photos would be useful, they can be added to the VAM-15 page to spare others future grief. If they need to be renamed I can do that.

I like the blue contrast. It works for me.
