My 1923 shows the die break from hair bun to Y, but I do not see close shoulder clash (which David Close says is on his two coins).
Also, I do not see (either in the photos on the website or on my coin) a "die gouge above T".
Do I have a VAM-1AI2 or something else?

Looks to me like it's something else - the crack on your coin does not appear to hit the Y at the same point as the crack in the 1AI2 photo.
