Can someone educate me why a 1878 7TF REV 79 GSA Soft Pack sells for $1,147.30?

Soft packs are their own separate GSA collecting universe, and some dates in that packaging are exceedingly rare.

Some people pay for packaging, others for labels, yet others for aged slabs, or barely detectable die varieties. They seem to enjoy what they enjoy.
