Back from LVA - New 81-O VAMs 79, 80, 81

In addition to the letter concerning the VAM 1L, I also received a letter from Leroy about a number of coins I sent in for evaluation. He has clarified the VAM 1H and VAM 40 association by deleting VAM 1H and establishing VAMs 40.1 and 40.2. I had asked for clarification because in checking my inventory I found common but not identical characteristics.

We also have three new VAMs 79, 80, and 81 as shown.

Like many of you I have spent many hours watching the events unfold in Afghanistan over the past few weeks and it stopped all my other work. Hopefully tonight I will finish up the others and then next week get to these on my web site. If someone familiar with the VW pages could help with these changes I would appreciate it.

There is still some question about the authenticity of VAM 77A, but when I sent in this batch that coin was with JB for his work. I will send it to Leroy soon for his opinion.
