USPS PCGS lost package

Hi To all
Well USPS does it again , Delivered a package to some other address from PCGS . Well this on is a big Hit to me .
I have it under investigation with USPS and PCGS . So if you see these coins on the market please inform me .
I will keep you updated if found via USPS

I had one mis-delivered coin last week. Fortunately, my neighbor got it and returned it to me. That makes 5 mis-deliveries for coins in the last couple of years. I never recovered two of them.

I get other peoples regular mail delivered to me all time. So much so that I've actually met some of them more than once when I return it. It's not a case of illegible addresses either. I'm not sure why postmen can't read these days.

Someone signed for it. The carrier is supposed to compare to the addressee and the ID provided.

Well at least my declared value on these where what I paid for them , I just put what I paid since they where crossovers .
I guess PCGS uses a self insurance and not the carriers insurance . But Yep I have people looking around at the nearby
business's that are close by . But this is the 2nd USPS mess up in 2 months , the last coin was via Ebay and lost .
Well sucks to lose these coins that you have hunted for for years . Oh well stuff happens .

This is horrible and I admit my biggest fear with my raw coins. The time and expertise to get to that point, and poof, the quest begins again. I will watch as well, and I hate to say, check the local pawn shop.

Does PCGS accept physical drop off and pick up?

usps knows were the package is .Our usps drop packages are wrong address several times and they knew
were to go . there tracking id machine will get it back .

The USPS is apparently taking on new responsibilities and delivery of your mail is no longer a priority.

Only at shows for most submitters. Authorized dealers can do it at their HQ, but I have not tried that during the pandemic. Lobby days monthly at hotels hasn't been a thing because of covid too.

eBay is problematic too. I used counter service for many years. There is insurance available there and I have used it. I tried to transition to printing postage directly from eBay. Turns out that their insurer does not cover coins. That's something to be aware of in case you click through and don't read all of the terms and conditions.

Bummer and I feel your pain. I had an eBay purchase go off the rails two months ago and the seller refunded me my money. Last week the package showed up to my delight and his. The package had been slit open just enough to check the contents, but nothing was missing.

Just deliver the mail. After 5 years I quit, that way I could get all my retirement money in a lump some. If you quit after 5 years they put it in Social Security for you. I saw a lot of strange things going on there. I worked at a large 24 hour a day facility.

Hi To All
Well USPS concluded the investigations , with the apology the package is lost . So now the insurance claim is thru PCGS
to get it done . Not Happy about it , but at least it covers my purchase cost for these coins . I will keep a watchful eye out for them on the market , and please PM me if anyone has found these on the market . At least PCGS will have a record on these as well as id markings . So still the recovery of these coins is not a done deal , Im hoping they will find there way Home .
I of course will keep you all posted on this .
