1879-O mm position opinion
1879-O mm position opinion
Just want to get an opinion from more experienced folks here. This coin has all the hallmarks of a VAM-33, line in rev denticles, doubling in all the right places but the mm isn't quite right, pun intended, in my opinion so wanted to see what others thought about how it's set, thanks.

shelf doubling and or ejection doubling.
Re: 1879-O mm position opinion
I agree - The MM looks to be WNP (within normal parameters) rather than sl. high and sl. tilt right. Strike doubling appears prevalent.

Thanks for your opinions. Even the photo of the mm on the attribution page for the VAM-30 which is shared by the VAM-33 doesn't look too high or turned to the right. Wanted to make sure my eyes weren't looking at it funny.
