What are are you referring to? The Neck and lips are a clash mark.
If you're talking about the line that goes through Liberty's ear, I have no idea

The long line going from the rim thru the ear looks like a staple scratch from the photo. Is it raised or does it go into the surface?
I swear, someday I will learn how to grade Peace Dollars!

I don't know about the scratch, but the clash looks like a VAM-1 or VNA.

The long line is a raise line ..I wish I could get a better picture of it but it doesn’t look like a scatch

Does not appear to be a crack. I wonder... it seems to sit on the surface as opposed to changing directions with the contours and the top (above the ear) looks to loop back; could it be a string of glue stuck to the coin? An acetone bath might answer that question.

I was thinking along the same lines. Stray strand of glue from a hot glue gun. I'd poke it with a stick.Raybob15239 wrote: ↑Fri Jun 04, 2021 2:58 pmDoes not appear to be a crack. Are tou taking the photo with the coin in a 2x2 flip?
Or a clear plastic round holder?
If so remove the coin before photo is taken
