Help with this 1904-O

Have four of these from a roll... can't identify it and could use help from the experts. Note particularly the rim above IBUS... what causes this?

Hello, VAMing is a journey, start at by date/mm, lots to learn and know about 1904-O. Have fun, let us know what you find in terms of date position, mm and markers to find. Peace Roy

Take a peek at VAM-13. Can't see the rim clearly to help with that.

Vam 13 fits except for the die gouge by F on reverse. Still don't understand what happened on the rim.
