I don't want this opportunity to pass without reminding folks about some general protocol that should be followed.
If someone thinks they have a new listing, or can't ID the coin they have, they should vet the coin on this site. If that doesn't work, then you should contact whoever has done a date & mint mark study on the subject coin, or at least an attempt should be made to consult with that person.
If for some reason that is undesirable, or not possible, then send the subject coin to either JB or JR prior to sending to LVA.
If someone had what they thought was a new 1881-O VAM, wouldn't they consult with HawkeEye first?
Duplicate listings are often times very hard to reverse as is testified to continually on this site.
