1899-o micro o attribution help
1899-o micro o attribution help
I bought this 1899-o micro o and need some help on attribution.
Probably what I'm about to write is absolutely wrong but I have some doubts
Is there an EDS of the VAM-5 without lines in wing??
Date placement seems ok for VAM-5, Polishing line below rear of nose maybe could be there but could also be pmd but what caught my attention (even if it isn't a die marker) was the die crack from D of UNITED through top of eagle's right wing.
I tried to look to others 1899-o micro o and can't find exact die crack in others..
I only have auction pics right now

Re: 1899-o micro o attribution help
Hard to tell, but I am leaning toward VAM 6. It looks as if there might be a light clash event on the reverse, and the die crack looks a lot like VAM 5. Just a guess, but I'll go with later die state of VAM 6 until you get pics from coin in hand.

VAM-6 date placement seems more to the left than this one but poor pics certainly do not help

I don’t usually respond to post such as this
Where you don’t have coin in hand
Because is all just guessing
And my best guess is yes the lines should be there
Once you have coin in hand
Please update
