PCGS + grades
So, I was looking at the PCGS pop report for 94-S Morgans and saw a 45+ grade... I didn't
realize they would go that low for a + grade. Does anyone know what the minimum grade is
to get a + designation?

Re: PCGS + grades
Why not add in all the numbers for the circulated grades? And decimalize for the uncirculated grades? For me this + thing is a can of worms.
Re: PCGS + grades
Actually yah, I think I was entirely incorrect. NGC's release page says 45 and higher, and I'm assuming they followed PCGS lead or vice-versa.

I really don't know why I've always thought 40 was the cutoff...

It's coming...

Re: PCGS + grades
Sorry, Maybe I was not clear. Does PCGS have a minimum grade they will assign a + grade to?
Anywhere on the site or from factual knowledge?
Thanks!

Re: PCGS + grades
You were totally clear.
Circulated grades of 45-50-53-55-58 can potentially get a +.

When in doubt... don't.
Re: PCGS + grades
Also, 60, 61, 69, and 70 are not eligible for plus grades.

Messy Desk
Thanks for the info , I didnt know the MS 60 and 61 where not eligible for a PLUS
grade . That does make a difference for my planning and what not .
AKA Cross grades from NGC MS61 to PCGS where you can lower the grade
and a Plus is not available does make a difference ,

Re: PCGS + grades
It looks like 60 is eligible for a plus at NGC. Kind of a weird grade if you ask me.
