Found my coin in Fun With 21, wondering if VAM numbers will be allocated to the Fun With 21 (JOH) coins that are presently without VAM numbers.

Yes, as soon as it is determined what VAM those cracks match up to.

No VAM number is assigned without me seeing the coin.

The huge problem is, the 1921-D Die Crack Break Guide is horribly not up to date. Only 77 different VAMs are represented in it, out of the 228 that currently exist.

I would like to try and help fix this somehow. Any ideas how I can contribute? I own 3 raw, circulated 1921-D that you folks have seen quite a few times... Any time the 21-D is mentioned here I pull them out and think I found something new. :)

Best way is to document the cracks. Copy the crack template pictures from the bottom of the 21-P page and draw the cracks that are on your coin that is not currently shown on the 21-D crack guide and it'll get added. I won't go as far as volunteering Dennis to coordinate this, but if you're interested in doing this, there will be someone to help you get going.
