Yesterday, I received my first package back from LVA. The purpose of this submittal was to update three of the VAM listing for the 1900-S Morgan Dollars. The three listings had not been updated since the last "Encyclopedia Of Morgan & Peace Dollars" was printed. It was long past due. Check out below. The pages have been updated.

Thanks Dennis. The VAM-14 was bare. No photos at all. All three VAMs had no die markers.

Fun date. The one coin I have been looking for since the early 1980s is of that date. VAM-3A. Probably does not exist as a real Mint produced listable mint mark. But the coin imaged in the VAM telephone book does, somewhere out there. I have looked at many, many of the date, especially raw, for it. Nothing.

That is one of the $100.00 questions. LVA gives a little bit of a hint in the official VAM listing. Die cracks Die breaks and die cracks that is what part of this series is all about. Throw in three different reverse types and the fact that a obverse die starts out with a C3 reverse, but ends up with a C4/C3 reverse type is all part of what makes this series very interesting. One has to be careful when comparing the die cracks/breaks. Several different VAMs may look like they have the same die cracks/breaks, but in fact they are different.

Great incremental work. Certainly a powerful addition to the Morgan database. Nice work with the tabular layouts for 7, 12, and 14. I wonder if there might be a home for some UHRLFCPs somewhere. Loren

Thanks Loren. You know there is a home. I am way behind in creating new pages.
