A polemic suggestion. I happen to agree. Except, that the E does not "completely" disappear. And "last state" may equal new stage. A picture of the cap top may be of interest.

If you're sending him any with gorgeous liquidy luster, concave fields, exceptional toning etc. Basically coins with PQ eye appeal and/or something beautifully extraordinary about the surfaces... HAVE HIM DO A .gif of the coin. It costs just a little extra and man are they just plain awesome.. and just plain fun to share online and watch the responses
Here's the first one he did for me. The 82s v36 DC with intense concave obv in PCGS ms67...

So is the last remnant of the E present on the 36B?LorenAlbert wrote: ↑Fri Jul 03, 2020 2:36 pmA polemic suggestion. I happen to agree. Except, that the E does not "completely" disappear. And "last state" may equal new stage. A picture of the cap top may be of interest.

Re: 83 o vam 36 or 36 a?
Therein lies the rub. If the E is present, can it be of a 36B? As you know doubt know, the 36B is the killed 1H. The 1H is the repaired 36A. Thus, 36B marks a stage. Yes, under my loupe, the clashed E is visible on the 1H. I doubt that the E would be attributed if the 1H was a new submission. Nonetheless, I have seen the 1H stage attributed as a 36A. I would have found it more parsimonious had the 1H been treated as a reverted 36 to fill the 36 nest. As I recall, a non-reverted base 36 is nearly impossible given the 22/36 progression. The III2-19 obverse would need to be found with a different C3a die. Or there needs to be a different III2-19/C3a die pair that satisfies the classification and the attribution. A non-reverted 36 seems unlikely to ever be demonstrated.dave700x wrote: ↑Fri Jul 03, 2020 6:27 pmSo is the last remnant of the E present on the 36B?LorenAlbert wrote: ↑Fri Jul 03, 2020 2:36 pmA polemic suggestion. Oh, I wouldn't be the one to answer that but I highly doubt it. There has to be a 67+ or maybe 68 DC out there. Hell, maybe even one of the 69's? @messydesk or @vampicker might be able to add some info.pup_picker wrote: ↑Sat Jul 04, 2020 9:15 pmi would like to re-ask my question after reading it.
