Anyone want to offer grades or vam on this
If anyone wants to give a grade
Or approx value?
Just purchased from a collector
Hand picked it from an old Morgan
Book, and it was in that book since
Around 1962?

hard to say from the photo - could be anywhere from 55 to 61, possibly cleaned - breast kinda shiny. Do you have a desk lamp? if so, go read the post i just made on taking photos when asking for a grade. Is that rim damage on the obv, between the B and U? Probably cleaned - would have much more album toning otherwise if it spent that long in an album. Is there letter transfer? Looks like it could be new v3 sub. Is there doubling on the top of the 5?

Will take some pics, ASAP with my halogen lamp, so as I find it!
Between B U is some dirt / grease!
Was in Miami when this was posted!
Didn’t have the proper lighting or
A good microscope with me!
Will drop it in acetone tomo
To get off grease and toning!
This was a 23 coin deal that was
Exceptional priced!
Including a 1884 s pcgs au 53
Also found an 82 o/s that was purchased for 20 bucks
If any one cares will post pics in a day
Or so!

Acetone will remove the grease but leaves the toning alone if it is real.JackBnimble01 wrote: ↑Sat Jun 20, 2020 4:12 amWill take some pics, ASAP with my halogen lamp, so as I find it!

Looks like you might have an unlisted pair. Is there a letter transferred?

Update
Here are some pics after acetone
Also used natural sun light and
A halogen bulb!
Coin appears to have the doubled
5?
The pinkish color on the check came off!
And behind the cap there is evidence of something?
Don’t have the proper equipment yet
To add more detailed pics!

Beautiful specimen. Unfortunately it's been lightly cleaned (and it swam in the ezest a little too long).
Like vam-mysterio said - AU details. But at least it's not ugly.
Close up photo of the 5 in the date, area where the field meets the neck, and the hair vee would help.
In the $500-$700 range on the bay once slabbed.
