Hi Juan,
Hold up for a moment till few others to chime in,
The Vam 67 existence is up to debate.

We thought we had this one figured out a few times,
But to know avail
Waiting for Messy to chime in and the other “experts” of 78-s
Our Vam 67’s turned out to be Vam 104’s
The only way to kill it is to somehow AQ the Discovery and send it back in to LVA.

Was going to chime in but it would be nice if I actually commented on the correct date

It does not help that the V67 page is populated with a V104.
Still a nice find though Juan

Ouch!, didn't look at the pages here. I used the 78-S guide by Van Allen & Lickenbrock.

My first impression is that the obverse looks very much like the obverse of V-104.
The reverse has the mintmark set left like 104. I cannot see that the eagle's left wing has the small die gouges and scratches pictured in LVA's attribution guide.
But John R has key to V-67 & 104 issue, i.e. only discovery V-67 will confirms its existence.

Discoverers of these two were Calvin Cherry and Larry Briggs. Not sure I've ever done a 78-S that I've called VAM 67. ANACS pop lists 3 examples, 2 AU55 and a VF30 details

Re: Rare 1878s vam 67 found
I’ll ask a bunch of us Vam “nuts” to coordinate a shoot at determine if it’s a Evil maniac or Dup.
Thanks for Bringing this one up to the surface again.
Do we know Who has The Discovery Vam 67? Of course not!
That would make it toooooooo easy .............
SSDC has a list of who owns Discovery’s but are listed under each persons name as a group.
Maybe we can have another list rearrange as to who owns under the date & mintmark?

There are currently no VAM 67 examples listed in the SSDC Registry

I don't think I've done a 78-S VAM 67, either.

Re: Rare 1878s vam 67 found
I think this has been asked before -- any info on Calvin Cherry.
I see in LVA's 78S attribution guide Calvin last had a discovery of 78-S V-97 in Nov '05.

Re: Rare 1878s vam 67 found
Turns out I did. I've moved the images to the VAM 104 page and added a comment on both the VAM 67 and 104 pages saying they are believed to be the same.

Re: Rare 1878s vam 67 found
I tried to kill the vam 104 but leroy would not listen. I sold a v67 ling ago and then found 3-4 more and they all matched v67 and v104.
