Nice pick Tom! Your 1E2 specimen shows a stronger-earlier triple clash at the eagle's shoulder than the one
pictured on the page. The inside clash next to the neck is very well defined. Pictures from your specimen
would be an upgrade for the page. IMO

This is probably a newbie question but here goes. What is the dark mark under her chin? I have a few coins that have this and always wondered what it is. Almost looks like an eraser mark. Thanks

A thin strip of metal has peeled away from planchet lamination defect. The dark color may be debris or
just a shadow.

The black mark appears to be debris or impure metal strike .
