Re: Which 1892-S is this?
Yes there is polishing around the obverse portrait, but not nearly to the extent seen in the photos in my first post. Obverse polishing is most evident at the top of the cap under IB, left at the cap fold under S, behind the lower rear of the cap, and in front of Liberty's lips.
When in doubt... don't.

I've been looking at eBay auction photos and I've found a couple more examples of the broken star.
When in doubt... don't.

Yeah, I have seen several examples of this die pair on auction photo sites. There is a much LDS than yours out there. But that being said, you could have a die state of VAM-9. Have you stared at that one?

Just heard back from LVA... it's a new discovery: VAM 1A.
When in doubt... don't.

Dennis, JB installed an auto resizer so just crop and upload and the site does the rest. Easy peasy lemon squeezy!

That's for the message boards. The wiki does other stuff with images to make them work best with the user's browser layout, so just be sure to stay under the 2MB upload limit there.CascadeChris wrote: ↑Fri Nov 02, 2018 11:55 pmDennis, JB installed an auto resizer so just crop and upload and the site does the rest.
