1921-P VAM-3FF in SSDC
1921-P VAM-3FF in SSDC
I was looking at the VAM-3O1/2/3 listings.
I noticed that VAM-3AQ is no longer in the SSDC listings. Good, because it is now the VAM-3O2.
But the SSDC still has 2 coins listed as VAM-3FF. VAM-3FF was also eliminated as VAM-3O2.

Lee, from my experience, folks attribute a coin as a certain VAM, enter it into the Registry, then forget about it. They do not check attributions that change over time and correct their Registry listings. Hence why red-haired step-children remain listed. I have tried to post announcements in this situation on the Registry in the past and it seems they are ignored, or folks have just moved on or not paying attention. Likely not an intentional action to leave them listed in de-listed VAM slots. Rather just a lack of discipline.

Thank you for your reply.
However this is an SSDC registry issue.
VAM-3GT was removed from the registry and changed to VAM-3O1.
VAM-3AQ was removed from the registry and changed to VAM-3O2.
VAM-3FF was a duplicate listing of 3AQ and also needs to be changed to VAM-3O2.

I forgot to mention, VAM-3O goldfish was changed to VAM-3O3 in the registry.
Re: 1921-P VAM-3FF in SSDC
Is there a specific person that takes care of the SSDC listing pages? I will be happy to contact them directly about having the 1921-P VAM-3FF population moved in with the VAM-3O2 population.
Re: 1921-P VAM-3FF in SSDC
I will move those two coins, of they have not yet been, and eliminate the dropped listing. Easy enough. We generally get to resolving these things as best we can when processing the annual updates. 1921 Morgans are tedious though because of the system delays for each as there are just so many VAMs for the date. -- JC

John,
Thank you.
Also, I understand how "1921 Morgans are tedious". That is why I am responsible for so may 21-P Kills and relistings to straighten out the 21-P listings in the last few years. The issue of the 3O1/2/3 is an example.
I have a few more in the works right now. Two days ago, I figured out another Kill to add to my next submission.
I could care less about getting a 21-P DC (I have enough), but figuring out Kills and revisions to clean up the listings is much more difficult and rewarding.
Thanks again for all the work you do.
Thank you.
