1889 Boomerang
Been a while. Tough getting back into the swing. Have this 1889 with boomerang from wing to G in God. Wing is doubled. In God We Trust is doubled. Not seeing anything on the obverse at neck. Does the boomerang have to be stronger to see a G on the obverse?

Re: 1889 Boomerang
There are several factors that could account for a "boomerang" without letter transfer.
Strength and angle of clash, polishing after the event, etc.
But another explanation might be that the obverse die that was involved in the clash was later swapped out and a different obverse die used to make your coin.
The experts should be along shortly.
