I'm out. I need to study up on 78p. It's a date I've given little attention too. That said, your pics sure do look like a circ proof, maybe, from the little bit given 🤔

The 1 and 8 are the give away , but I don't due to much with Morgan dollars . 1878 are harder then 1921's .

Thanks, it does. Regardless of what the holder may say, that makes it a Judd-1550A. I asked because that obverse is unknown with the Judd-1550 reverse. This is the Pollock-1725 marriage. Great coin!
