Double struck in collar?
When in doubt... don't.

Obverse shows misaligned die. Reverse is interesting - possible partial collar. Partial collar must be
confirmed by viewing edge in question .

Uncentered broadstrike, perhaps. Need to see the edge.

If that's all the collar there is, I'm going with uncentered broadstrike. That's a major score for a Morgan. I just did a search on Heritage, and they have 5 in their history. Two are AU 1921-Ss, each selling for over $400, and they have a trace of collar on them.

it's a partial collar.
Being that extreme, and having the distorted letters and stars that a broadstrike does, would you price it about the same as an uncentered broadstrike?

I would not price it the same as a broadstrike. I have seen plenty of tilted partial collars that cause letter distortion too. it's about the smallest partial collar I have ever seen though.

Picked this up with a lot of about 120 circulated Morgans. All others just common date coins.

Very cool.. I've been through similar lots and all I've found are minor filled dies or rotated reverses. Major score for a pup dollar lot right here tho!
