1900-O Fake??? Very odd surfaces

Here are images of a 1900-O which has a very unusual look and the surface are simply odd vs. most any other Morgan's. Could be simply abused and polished but would like the opinion of the experts. Note the pitted surfaces on both obverse and reverse, the very odd "L" of LIBERTY, and what almost look like old fashioned "adjustment marks" on both obverse and reverse (again likely simple post mint damage). Opinions welcome.

I'd say it's genuine but beat to death. Looks like fire damage or some serious environmental damage. Someone tried to 'fix' it

Looks like obfuscated cast.

Seen just about every counterfeit 1900-O known, including plenty of Chinese examples. My vote is a genuine coin with some serious post mint environmental damage.
