Scare Of My Life

On Monday October 16th I had surgery to remove a 2" long kidney stone from my left kidney.
It was done with robotics a 3 hour procedure. The results were catastrophic they cut my lung. two days later
they removed 750ml of blood and released me to go home.
The next morning I had to dial 911 to take me to the nearest hospital and after 30 minutes there I was transferred
another hospital specializing in A-FIB after 7 days of constant care of doctors, nurses and staft I was released
to go home.
I've never prayed and cried more in my life.

I'll be spending less time here until until I'm back to full strenth.

Not the post I wanted to read since I'm going into surgery on the 7th for a different issue. Had surgery last year too. This getting old is not the golden years I pictured. Mine should be okay but the recovery is the tough part.

So glad you are coming through it. Lots of time to stare at Morgans and Peace dollars. Prayers headed your way.

WOW! And I don't mean in a good way!! I'm at the beginning of my Golden years, and shyyt like this, scares the 'HELL' out of me!!! I didn't fight the good fight for ALL these years, to have some damd machine end it for me in an 'opps' sorry it was a programming issue...Not funny

PS When you're doing better, get a good lawyer and make a list of all the VAMS you've been wanting.

Cut your lung with robotic guidance for kidney surgery? Scary! The robot is supposed to make for a much more precise, more easily controlled operation. Sounds like they started inserting the tools without having the camera in place.

Glad you're on the mend now, and I hope that your are able to recover fully from this and this ordeal is soon just a part of your past.

Got released to return to work today on a limited basis.
The re-start of my heart to fix A-FIB problem worked, they want to be on the
new meds for 60 days and then take me off them.

I appreciate all the support and concerns of all my friends here on VAMWorld.

I could not feel for you more. I wish you a speedy recovery and no more mishaps. Take it easy and look at a lot of coins. I used an event to learn the 8 TF Morgans by heart a long time ago. It has been so long ago I need a refresher...

Gods speed on recovery- These hospital surgery screw ups happen so often its super scary
When dust settles please be sure to at least talk with an attorney, you could have died and deserve
any compensation therof. Its not just about money but the life threatening issues etc etc
