What did I just step in??

Post by CascadeChris » Sat Jul 07, 2018 4:51 am

Just came across this very neat VAM with quite a bit of coolness going on. The 45.3. But why on God's green VAM-loving earth is there 13 *THIRTEEN* THIR-FREAKING-TEEN! SPERATE DIE LISTINGS?? Did I just stumble upon the VAM number with the most seperate dies?! Holy hell..

Also, multiple die VAMs typically have embedded links for each die with their own writeups and LFPC's. Not in this case though. If someone wants to use the pictures on the page or new migrated page when it happens feel free.

Just a hell of a lot of solid research by one person to document every known die pair for this date. Still, it pales in comparison to the number of marriages that qualify as 21 VAM 3 and that's not even counting scribbles.

Yeah JR. Alan did some great work. Once I got used to his method it made attributing much easier. I've just havent seen that many die separations under one VAM aside I suppose the 1 & 3 placeholders.

The V45 Die 3 is kinda cool. As the VW page states, the obverse die is a LDS polished down version of the V45A obverse die, married with a new unclashed reverse die. The V45 Die 3 is available with enough looking. But it is cool in PL when you can find it.

The 1902-O VAM-45 is obviously treated as a Die Classification by Leroy, i.e., Multiple Die pairs exist. Might be the poster child for this concept.
