Hows about a little Blind Cherry Sunday for y'all!

So, I was going through a box of raw dollars the other day and picked this one up simply for the extreemly polished out hair while speed scanning which I thought was pretty darn cool on it's own and not noticing any of the 5,384 (estimated number) Denticle Impressions!... Low and behold it's the... v19C, correct? !!!

I've never seen one in hand until now but I can remember going through the 78s page when I was green and thinking how cool this one must be in hand and yup, it doesn't disappoint! Wowowowow. Anywho, the Blind VAMmer struck again.. Love it

So, what's the story with this girl? Any theories on how 5,384 DI's happened? I mean, Wowzers

existing inventory,

For yrs i chased the 1887 1A/25A Donkey tail, of any grade.
I ended up with 20 or so with 3 in 62 and downward
SSDC shows 1 in 63 so i continued to look, Then pay day
In my back vault- A PCGS 63 NAOH old rattler ms63
made me face feel B E T T E R LOL

This is why i advise collectors to consider buying Raw bulk Morgans
Basement prices and huge upside potential on all fronts

Unlike most other DI varieties, this happened during the marriage's use. A couple of stages exist with none of this.
Picture the hammer die coming loose during coining and flopping around in a live press. It's an educated guess, but whatever happened, this was a bad day at the office.
It also happens to be the first denticle impression listing

Interesting die pair - 1st die state has no DI but is still very tuff and cool. With the DI - very cool but MORE available. VAM 17 (C) not 19...

Yeah, when I checked prices I was shocked, for such a cool coin. They must be quite available in choice grades. So fun to look at!

That makes a ton of sense JR. I can totally envision that happening.

So did you discover this stage? It says you discover the 17A in 2001 but the 17A was changed to the 17c in 2009 but with a different discoverer.

The original 17A is my discovery. It would qualify as a 17B now. But if you look in the VAM book itself, the VAM 17 plate of the date also has the lumps visible. It's not a stretch to say this variety has been 'discovered' by three successive generations of VAMmers

Just 3 more DI's and it would be a prime number....
