Re: Getting to know you...

Still looking for my own WOW discovery.

The new site is okay.
I will keep up my pursuit of 78S.

Re: Getting to know you...
The thought of yet another new name and pw doesn't work well with my little brain. So I stick with the old one.
Re: Getting to know you...
The name still fits, so I'm still wearing it.

I'm not very creative so I'm still using the same ol ' handle.

Paralyse here (Adam), long time habitué at CCF and eternal VW lurker.
I like the new forum a lot and should now be able to post a lot more as a result
I have recently sold off some of my PCGS/SSDC Registry Morgans (not by choice) - 1885-CC, 2 1884-CC's, 1895-O, 1892-CC, and a spare 1878-S and 1904-O, but as is often the case, I can't seem to avoid these lovely ladies -- just won a probable 1890-P VAM 25A last night.
I collect everything, but my main passions are silver Washington quarters, Morgans of course, early American copper & German States coins/medals. I've been at this for 25+ years (okay, more like 30+) but it never gets old or boring for me.
If you're ever at a Dallas-area ANA show, or the annual TNA show in Arlington, you'll probably find me there too -- just look for the big guy digging through the stacks of raw AU/Unc Morgans with a loupe and a tablet.

Re: Getting to know you...
I think I remember chatting with you briefly at the Dallas Spring ANA show a couple years ago. If I recall, another passion of yours was New Orleans mob history. If you ever decide that spelunking through early 20th century Treasury Department documents at the Ft. Worth National Archives in search of arrest records or other documents related to the Micro O counterfeiting ring and turn up pay dirt, you'd become a VAM legend.paralyse wrote: ↑Tue Jul 03, 2018 12:24 amParalyse here (Adam), long time habitué at CCF and eternal VW lurker.

Re: Getting to know you...
This old, two-time Vietnam Navy Air vet started collecting coins when I was 18. After the service, I graduated from college and worked as a Certified Quality Engineer and ISO 9001 Lead Auditor until I retired. Just now beginning to adjust to life in retirement.

Someone left the gate open, I think they were hoping I would run away. I jumped on the moving truck and made it here.

Hello, my name is Dave and it's been almost 24 hours since I bought my last Morgan....
1883-O nut
Re: Getting to know you...
Still bob259. Trying to finish up my Morgans so I can get onto the Peace pile and my error pile. Bought way too many when they were cheap. Oh wait, If buying early and cheap you can't have too many. Then I discovered VAMs and the work began.
