It's not listed
I'm not so sure that your statement is correct. Maybe it is, maybe it is not.
Just because you don't see an exact match on the VW pages does not mean that it is not listed. There are lots of pages that don't have much information. So it may just be that it is not documented well yet.
But good luck on a discovery coin if you believe that it is not listed.

Check the bottom of the 1 and first 0 for minor repunching. The date position on your coin appears to match VAM 13.

The clashes you've shown are irrelevant for a listing as there is no apparent letter transfer. Does your picture of Liberty's eye accurately illustrate the doubling you see?

Repunching on 900. Closed 9. The alligator eye depicted in pic is shown clearly

Better photos go a long ways in getting a VAM ID'd on this site. Looks to me if you are having trouble with the photos being sideways, rotate the coin a quarter turn to the right when you photograph it and the photo should be positioned correctly when you post it. As far as "professional " submitting, most coins can be vetted through this site by some of the best in the business and if it is determined to need a 2nd look by "the Professional" that opinion will be readily given on here......

Looking at date photos, the obverse almost seems like it fits Near Slanted. Normal Slanted is on the right of the denticle gap in VAM-15's date photo. If it's a Near Slanted, he has a good shot at a listing I would think, just based on the lack of identified die info in the listings.

If it's a Near Slanted, it's clashed, so it isn't one of the 14 pairs. The gouge on the LL would be there on a LDS die.

This might very well be the unseen mid state VAM-13 die that got clashed and polished to create 13A...

Photo orientation is interesting.
When I look at this thread on my computer, the photos are not upright.

Guys I've rotated the photos and they come out the same. I've been told it's a near slanted 13 by many. Just not true. Not enough time given actually looking at the description of attributes imo. Now that 13 missing link is in play. I've been told it's the missing piece for 5a as well. What i do know having the coin in hand is I've studied each and every vam listing regardless of date placement and reverse die used and come up short on every one. I looked at the other mints for the same year to see if it is a fake in that respect. Nothing. I do have one question though. The second mark down on the neck, what is that in your opinion. The coin is shipped as of today to Leroy. I'll keep you updated as he gets to it.

Yes, Please be sure to let us know what LVA writes to you. It is always interesting, to see how Mr. Van Allen is capable of choosing just the right words to achieve his response's. Sometime's, he can be humorus, sometimes- not so much...kenny

I see your last photo.
You labeled it as the VAM-13 die marker.
You then said "but it's clashed".
I have a few questions from these comments and recent posts.
1. So if this is the VAM-13 die marker, do you now believe that you at least have the VAM-13 reverse?
2. Do you understand that not every clash is something that gets listed? Most do not.
3. What do you think the second mark down on the neck is?
I can tell you that it is not letter transfer.

Vam 13a has polished fields on both obverse and reverse removing clashing. Mine exhibits one die marker from 13a that is not represented in another vam. It exhibits clashes in both obverse and reverse fields. I think the guy above nailed it

OH, that's a relief... I sure hope that video conference call with the CONECA expert and 60 pictures didn't cost you to much. Doesn't sound like he was spot on with his attribution...

I'm not sure why you are upset but nevertheless it's a little uncalled for. It is a friend and it wasnt a cost. His determination was it is unlisted. Thats all I said. Thanks to everyone!

I don't know about the VAM, but in order to keep your pictures upright, you have to edit them. It is because the pic is not square but more like a rectangle from using your phone. If you download them in your computer, you then can use a photo edit program and crop them to be more square. Save them and then upload to the thread. That is what I have learned from uploading pics. Good Luck in your endeavor.
I may not be the best, but I do not know anyone better.

I thought I was the site curmudgeon. Seems like I have been replaced? Leroy will list it. He lists everything now-a-days. This coin will only serve to screw the listings up even more than they already are.

With the lack of a lot of 1900-P photos, getting pictures of some of the die states for these will clear up a lot of future confusion as well. 00-P is a graveyard of zombie listings... With only 45 documented pairs, it shouldn't be hard for us to fill a lot of them in?

Might make a good study series... Only 45 pairs and 00-P are pretty cheap... Hmmm.

That's good that it didn't cost you, you got your monies worth. The tongue lashing is in-deed needed. You, and your friend came here and announced that you had decided that you had a 'new VAM'. The experts here, and there are MANY( articles, books, video's, career's dedicated to JUST VAM'S!) tried to ask you questions to help you determine if in-fact you did, or did not have one. You decided that YOU knew better, and sent your coin to LVA. Mr. Van Allen is elderly, he has a full time job taking care of Mrs. Van Allen. He also has many packages arriving daily for him to examine, hopefully, none that waste his valuable time. That's why we do, what we do. We try to help those that need it, to prevent them from doing foolish things like talking about things they know nothing about, and usually from an orifice that falls below the shoulder level. Sometimes referred to as, the back of your front. In the service, it's called a dressing down. Normally followed by a gracefull and hasty exit by the recipient. When you come to a new place and try to tell 'THE' people their business, and they help you anyway. Humble appreciation might be in order...

Sorry Alan, didn't mean to step on your toes...
